Krakonoš Alpine Retreat sits at the heart of Špindlerův Mlýn, surrounded by silent spruce forests and panoramic views of the Czech Republic's highest peaks. Since 1912, we have offered sanctuary for those who seek more than accommodation — a moment when time stands still, the air is cleaner, and comfort is never compromised. Twenty-eight bespoke rooms, private wellness with a hot tub and Finnish sauna, a kitchen inspired by the Giant Mountains landscape.

Every room is unique. The scent of timber, ridge-top views, a bed you won't want to leave.

A hundred years in harmony with the mountains

Krakonoš guesthouse was built in 1912 as a mountain chalet for the Mayer family from Liberec. It survived two world wars, socialism, and the post-revolution era. Today, after comprehensive restoration, it connects historic timber beams with modern design and respect for nature. We heat with wood pellets from local forests, grow vegetables in our own greenhouse, and heat water with solar panels on the roof.
